To be gifted is to have exceptional talent or natural ability. Cornerstone Christian Academy teacher, Terese Roob, has spent much of her career teaching gifted children. Mrs. Roob’s 3rd graders know they are the ones receiving a different kind of gift, because their teacher is one who educates, loves, and challenges her students to thrive, to reach their maximum potential.
Terese came to CCA just seven months ago. Before arriving she spent much of her career at Peak to Peak Charter School working with gifted and talented students. She’s also the owner of Growing Genius, a consulting business for gifted students and their families. Mrs. Roob has been married to Andy for 28 years. They have two grown children Elisabeth (who is married to Trevor) and Christopher.
When Terese was a little girl she dreamed of being a missionary or a pediatrician, demonstrating her lifelong passion to serve. Terese is too humble to admit to a superpower, but it’s evident that she’s an encourager and relationship builder at heart. She’s also a foodie who is always open to new recipes and restaurants. As a new empty-nester she's thoroughly enjoying the ability to go on spontaneous dates with her husband.
A verse from Philippians provides a wonderful summary of Terese's character. “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” Philippians 2:3
