Counseling Program Overview

Teresa Doughty, M.A., L.P.C., N.C.C.

Mrs. Doughty works with high school students to ensure that they earn the credits they need to graduate from high school and enter into their college of choice. This process begins with freshmen, reaches its apex during the College and Career Seminar required first semester of their junior year and continues through graduation.

She also works with Kindergarten through twelfth grade students regarding behavioral and mental health issues affecting their school performance.

Teresa Doughty graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology, magna cum laude. She spent a year between college and graduate school doing mission work in Mexico with Campus Crusade for Christ. She completed her Master of Arts in Community Counseling with honors at Denver Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Teresa has been a Nationally Certified Counselor since 2003 and her work experience includes three years of professional counseling at a residential facility for troubled teens. She began working at CCA in 2005.
