Leah Mangel - School Secretary
Leah Mangel has over 20 years of experience and training in customer service, leadership, marketing, and event planning. Leah has enjoyed serving at CCA in a variety of positions including Student Council Advisor, Yearbook Advisor, Lunch Program Coordinator, and Teacher's Aide. She currently serves as the School Secretary. She has been involved at CCA since its inception in 1996.
Kimberly Meenach - Preschool Director
Mrs. Meenach graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and is Director Qualified by the State of Colorado. She previously served as the Director of a KinderCare Learning Center for seven years. She has served as a part of church planting team locally and remains involved at Valley Community Church. She joined the Cornerstone faculty in 2010.
Teresa Doughty - School Counselor & Registrar
Teresa Doughty graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology, magna cum laude. She spent a year between college and graduate school doing mission work in Mexico with Campus Crusade for Christ. She completed her Master of Arts in Community Counseling with honors at Denver Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Mrs. Doughty's work experience includes three years of professional counseling at a residential treatment facility for troubled teens. She is also an honorary professor of Psychology through the University of Colorado, Denver. She began working at CCA in 2005.
Kathy Young - Enrollment Director
Kathy Young worked as a manager at Fidelity Finance before going on to work 15 years for Qwest. She served as a level five manager overseeing processes from billing to installation in the busiest office in the state. For 11 years she also supervised job training for employees. Kathy helped to manage a divestiture process for the company, trained offices across the state in computer use, and helped Qwest make the transition to paperless processes. In addition to her corporate experience, Kathy has served as a business administrator in the local church. She has been with CCA from the inception of the school in 1996.
Reed Doughty - Athletic Director
Reed Doughty grew up in Johnstown, Colorado and attended Roosevelt High School. Upon graduation, Doughty attended the University of Northern Colorado. Doughty went on to start four years at safety for the Bears racking up 466 tackles and 14 interceptions. He was a 2x time All-American and 3x academic All-American (the first in Northern Colorado history) and was a finalist for the Draddy Award (aka the Academic Heisman) following his senior year. Doughty was inducted in the UNC Hall of Fame in 2011. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science with a minor in coaching.
The Washington Redskins selected Doughty with the 173rd pick of the 2006 NFL draft. Doughty went on to play in 107 games starting 54 of those contests. During his 8-year career, Doughty tallied 506 tackles and 3 interceptions.

Larry Zimbelman - K-8 Principal
Larry Zimbelman has been the head administrator of Cornerstone Christian Academy since its inception in 1996 and has over 20 years of experience in education. He graduated from Metropolitan State College in Denver with his Bachelor of Science in Production Management and worked in management at United Parcel Service before getting involved in education. He taught at Faith Christian Academy in Arvada and worked as a church administrator before CCA was started. Larry completed coursework for a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction at Colorado Christian University.
Mitch Doughty - High School Principal
Mitch Doughty graduated summa cum laude from Sterling College in Kansas with his Bachelor of Science in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Religion and Philosophy. He worked in ministry for a year prior to entering graduate school. Mitch completed his Master of Arts in Philosophy of Religion with honors at Denver Seminary. He joined the staff at CCA in 2004 and has over 10 year experience teaching and seven years of experience in educational administration.
