Reed Doughty - Athletic Director
Reed Doughty grew up in Johnstown, Colorado and attended Roosevelt High School. Upon graduation, Doughty attended the University of Northern Colorado. Doughty went on to start four years at safety for the Bears racking up 466 tackles and 14 interceptions. He was a 2x time All-American and 3x academic All-American (the first in Northern Colorado history) and was a finalist for the Draddy Award (aka the Academic Heisman) following his senior year. Doughty was inducted in the UNC Hall of Fame in 2011. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science with a minor in coaching.
The Washington Redskins selected Doughty with the 173rd pick of the 2006 NFL draft. Doughty went on to play in 107 games starting 54 of those contests. During his 8-year career, Doughty tallied 506 tackles and 3 interceptions.
