Both CCA and Flatirons Community Church have endeavored to claim education for Christ by providing students with a high-quality Biblically-integrated educational experience. With common values and visions, both institutions viewed each other as friends working diligently toward the same goal. Through collaboration, leadership from both organizations discovered an unparalleled opportunity to impact our world for Jesus by combining our strengths.
CCA has the experience, expertise, and culture born out of decades of innovation; Flatirons has the platform and energy born out of the church’s passion, influence, and values. But more important than these complementary strengths, leadership from both organizations share the same burning desire to provide an ever improving experience for more and more kids in the name of Jesus. Moreover, we all agree that God is calling us to this work. God has continually affirmed this calling through each stage of exploring a partnership and has transformed the conversation from what “CCA is doing” and what “Flatirons is doing” into what “He” is doing through “us”.
What is the name of the merged school?
The school will be called Flatirons Academy, and we are working on plans for a new mascot to represent our new shared identity.
Where will the school be located?
For the next two years we are planning to have all of the students from both schools at CCA’s current school campus at 12000 Zuni Street in Westminster. In 2021, we will move to a newly constructed, $30 million campus at I-25 and County Road 8.
How many students will attend the school?
By 2021, the school is projected to grow to approximately 500 elementary students, 150 junior high students, and 300 high school students.
